Clay tile roofs rely on both the visible tiles and the layers beneath them. A cracked or displaced tile can be one concern, while leaks may also involve flashing or aging underlayment. A roofer familiar with tile systems can assess the roof without assuming that every leak requires a complete replacement. Matching older tiles and checking the underlying assembly may affect the proposed work.
Call (833) 781-0627 to ask about independent clay tile roofing providers in Vestavia Hills, AL. Confirm the contractor's experience with your roof system and ask whether an installation requires structural review. Never walk on a tile roof to inspect it yourself. Tell the provider whether tiles are missing, cracked or displaced and whether water has appeared inside. A surface tile replacement and work on the underlying waterproofing can involve different scopes. Ask how tiles will be accessed and whether matching replacements are available before approving the work. For a replacement project, request details of the underlayment, attachment method, flashing and disposal. Confirm how any damaged decking will be priced and approved if it is uncovered during the job.
